Kristy Todd, B.Sc., M.Ed., R.P. Bio.

Kristy is a Human Environment Specialist, Project Manager and the coordinator of our Lac La Ronge Office.  She has over 20 years of environmental science experience, with 10 years working as an Aquatic Biologist. Kristy has participated and led field data collection, data analyses, and report preparation on multiple project types, including, but not limited to, baseline investigations and environmental monitoring programs. Kristy, always looking for a challenge, shifted her career into the field of education and occupied various roles as an educator at Northlands College, where she finished her time there as a manager/director. As part of this experience, she studied the importance of Indigenous knowledge in relation to learning, leadership, land use, and culture, which was complemented by her own lived knowledge as an Indigenous person. During her time at CanNorth, Kristy has expanded her expertise in the human environment field with many projects, including Indigenous-led land, water, and resource initiatives, traditional knowledge and land use studies, traditional food studies, socio-economic baseline studies, environmental impact assessments, and environmental management plans.
