Engagement - Engagement is used to inform and/or collect information from the people with potential to be affected by a project or decision. A meaningful engagement program can help clients to achieve their social license and is often a regulatory requirement for any project that is subject to provincial or federal government approvals. CanNorth conducts stakeholder and rightsholder mapping, engagement design and planning, facilitation and event coordination, data collection, management, and analysis, and reporting. Where a project presents the potential for effects to Indigenous rights, the Duty to Consult may be triggered by a regulatory body. CanNorth designs engagement strategies and plans to account for the potential delegation of procedural aspects of the Duty to Consult so there is minimal interruption to the engagement program.
