Engagement - CanNorth believes that meaningful engagement is key to successfully executing both small and large-scale projects. A successful engagement program provides both the public and the client with the necessary information to make informed decisions. CanNorth conducts rights holder and stakeholder mapping, engagement design and planning, facilitation and event coordination, data collection, management, and analysis, and reporting. Where a project presents the potential for effects to Indigenous rights, the Duty to Consult may be triggered by a regulatory body. CanNorth designs engagement strategies and plans to account for the potential delegation of procedural aspects of the Duty to Consult so there is minimal interruption to the engagement program. A meaningful engagement program can help clients to achieve their social license and is often a regulatory requirement for any project that is subject to provincial or federal government approvals.
