Environmental Monitoring Programs – CanNorth is an industry leader in conducting environmental monitoring that fulfills provincial and federal license/approval requirements. Our staff conduct field studies, monitoring, and auditing services to ensure regulatory compliance for several project types such as mining, roadways, pipelines, transmission lines, reclaimed sites, and others. CanNorth routinely completes biological studies for the federally mandated Environmental Effects Monitoring (EEM) program at metal mines and has been involved in all stages from the study design of Phase 1 assessments through to Investigation of Cause studies. In addition, CanNorth provides coordination of community-based or community-led programs designed to monitor components of the environment most important to community members.
